We rely on the donations of fellow animal lovers in order to operate. We spend a lot of money on food and vet bills for all the animals!
Contact us via Facebook messenger or email acritterschance@gmail.com if you have supplies to donate. We generally accept new and gently used animal supplies and linens. We may also accept new, and some opened or expired, animal food and medical supplies.
If you shop at Kroger, you can earn Community Rewards for A Critter's Chance each time you shop! All you have to do is click HERE, enroll your Kroger Plus card, search for A Critter's Chance or use our NPO number, which is 70968, and choose us as the organization to receive Community Rewards. After doing this, each time you use your Kroger Plus card, A Critter's Chance will receive rewards. These funds will go for vetting and supplies to care for the animals we rescue. This is a very simple way to help us help the animals!

There are many ways to volunteer with us! You can start with filling out our Volunteer or Foster Application HERE.
We are a foster-based rescue, and all of our animals live in foster homes where they can get the daily care and socialization that they need until they find a forever home. We are frequently at capacity, so we have to turn away animals due to a lack of space. There is a particular need for foster home for rabbits, guinea pigs, aquatic turtles, and pigs. While we try to provide the majority of habitats and supplies, this can sometime require help from the foster family, including food and transport to medical appointments.
Like talking about animals? Educating the public on proper animal care is a major part of our mission. It's a great way to help out if you are limited on time and/or unable to foster animals in your home. We would love to expand our school programs as well. Prefer to hang in the back and just clean up and carry, we have a need for that too, in particular every month at bunny yoga.
Like to plan events? Help us organize and plan our fundraisers.
As one of the few exotic rescues in the state, we often get calls to accept animals from several hours away. Likewise, adopters who don't want to support the pet trade often contact us from surrounding states. If you like to be on the road, this may be a great fit for you!
We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a public location where volunteers can come to help with cleaning and care. We do periodically have opportunities at some long-term foster homes to help with building and maintaining outdoor enclosures.
